Thusitha de Silva - Head of Sales - Commercial & Industria, Chevron Lubricants PLC

Thusitha de Silva is the Head of Sales - Commercial & Industrial at Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, bringing nearly 30 years of experience across lubricant technology, commercial leadership, supply chain operations, business development, and industrial market management. He holds a BSc Special Degree in Chemistry and an MBA from the University of Colombo and is a Chartered Chemist.

Having held leadership roles across technical, commercial, and export business functions, including responsibility for the Bangladesh and Maldives markets, Thusitha brings a unique end-to-end perspective of the lubricant and energy value chain, spanning manufacturing, quality assurance, technical services, supply chain management, customer solutions, and strategic business leadership.

Over the course of his career in the energy industry, he has worked closely with customers across a diverse range of sectors including marine, power generation, transportation, manufacturing, construction, and heavy industries. This broad exposure has enabled him to develop deep insights into asset reliability, operational efficiency, energy management, and the evolving industry needs in an increasingly competitive and sustainability-focused markets.

Thusitha brings a wealth of knowledge and practical experience in the petroleum and lubricants industry, with a particular interest in energy transition, future marine fuels, supply chain resilience, sustainability, and the critical role of advanced lubricant technologies in supporting evolving industrial and maritime applications, driven by lower-carbon energy solutions.

Thusitha is a Past President of the MBA Alumni Association of the University of Colombo and currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Association.
