Bhaskar Sengupta has been with APM Terminals for more than a decade and is currently leading the company’s investment agenda across South Asia, with a focus on new terminal concessions, strategic partnerships, concession management and growth opportunities in complex port markets in emerging countries.
He brings a distinct mix of infrastructure advisory experience, government-facing execution and hands-on deal development. His role spans early market shaping, partner alignment, concession strategy and investment positioning, helping turn regional opportunities into credible, executable propositions for APM Terminals.

- Laldia Container Terminal, Bangladesh - led the development of APM Terminals’ first greenfield private terminal opportunity in Bangladesh, including the G2G framework, local partner structure, PPP process and concession negotiations.
- SAGT, Sri Lanka - involved in strategic investment work relating to South Asia Gateway Terminals in Sri Lanka, including regional positioning, shareholder considerations and the broader Colombo terminal landscape.
- Internal capability building - helped build internal investment capability for South Asia, including stronger market understanding, concession structuring, G2G pathways, partner models and practical playbooks for emerging-market terminal opportunities.
