Mark Surgenor, Chief Executive Officer HSBC Sri Lanka

Marl‹ is currently the CEO of HSBC Sri Lanl‹a, Sri Lanka's largest international banI‹ with ver 134 years of continuous operations in the country.

Prior to this, Marl‹ was based in Hong Kong and was the HSBC Group Head of Wealth Management, serving clients across all 60+ HSBC marI‹ets around the world.

Within HSBC, Mark has undertaI‹en leadership roles in Europe, in Latin America and across several countries in Asia.

Prior to HSBC, Marl‹ was at the Lloyds Banl‹ing Group, based in the UK, the Middle East and in Asia.

A qualified pilot, and with over a decade as a reserve Air Training Corp Instructor, Marl‹ has a keen interest in flying along with travel and all watersports.

Marl‹ holds a Bachelors in Business & Finance, a Masters in International Marketing and the CIM Diploma.

Marl‹ holds board appointments at LankaPay and HSBC Indonesia and is the immediate Past President of the Sri Lanka Council for Business with Britain.
