A well-known industry expert with over 35 years of experience in the transportation industry commenced his career working as a Sales Executive for Korean Air, selling its B747 Freighter capacity and off-line passenger services. He later joined Ocean Carriers, namely Transportation Maritime Mexicana (TMM) and New Zealand Orient Lines (NZOL).

He commenced his business life at the age of 22. Founded MAC Supply Chain Solutions Private Limited in 1996. With the company achieving sustainable growth, MAC Holdings Private Limited was incorporated in 1999 as the parent company. The company expanded its footprint into other avenues in the aviation, hospitality, and leisure industries. The company has now further expanded its presence into sectors such as shipping, fisheries and agriculture, renewable energy, and strategic investments.

He was appointed as Chairman of SLFFA on the 6th of March 2026. Serves the CCC Committee since 2023. Education at both St. Peter’s College and St. Joseph’s College Colombo, where he excelled in his studies and sports alike. His favorite sport was cricket. He is the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Bulgaria. His life partner is Tania, and he is the father of two sons, and a daughter named Ashan, Anick, and Tándra.
